Job Summary:
Administer, implement, and monitor KEO's Transitional Shelter and Housing Programs and support services for homeless clients to help them attain housing.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise , train, evaluate and interview program staff.
- Supervise overall program operations, and evaluate effectiveness of program goals and objectives;
- Prepare, maintain, analyze reports, forms, grants, program budget, program contract, and program manual;
- Review and approve staff reports, forms and program activities;
- Develop and maintain working relationships with various local, state, and federal community agencies, and private businesses in achieving program goals and objectives;
- Coordinate with community agencies, community organizations, and resources that provide information, referral, training, and support services (housing, food, employment, transportation, and childcare, etc.) to assist homeless families and individuals to achieve self-sufficiency;
- Enforce and maintain program rules and procedures of the KEO Transitional Shelter and Housing Program;
- Maintain complete and accurate case records and date tracking through the KEO client care system, and Caseworthy-the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS);
- Prepare, maintain, and file participant assessments and ISP plans;
- Prepare, maintain, file and submit all monthly, quarterly, and final program reports to the Program Director;
- Plan, organize, conduct, attend training classes, workshops and meetings;
- Research and write grants to continue and expand program services for th KEO Transitional Shelter and Housing Program;
OTHER DUTES/FUNCTIONS:
- Performs other duties as required.
WORKING CONTIIONS: Mostly indoors in air-conditioned office
Equipment Use: Daily use of basic office equipment, supplies and use of computer is required. Daily use of own vehicle and, as needed, company van.
Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 hours a day; hours may vary.
MENTAL DEMANDS: Duties require frequent use of judgment, attention to detail and basic math skills required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Duties require sitting for periods of time.
COMMUNICATION DEMANDS: Duties require frequent communication both inside and outside the agency using considerable tact, persuasion, and discretion.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience: Graduation with Bachelor's degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university and two years of related administrative experience, or any comparable combination of education and experience which would provide the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential duties of this position.
