The administrative component of this role includes internal case management, assisting with hospital discharges, managing our start of care process, and validating nurse competency. The field-based aspect of this position allows for quality time with field staff in patient homes, where you will develop, mentor, and provide professional guidance.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented nurse looking to expand their career and increase the number of lives they impact daily within their community.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour day shift. You will not be on-call initially, but will work up to it. Once on-call, it will rotate every third week, possibly every other week.

Work Location: 3421 N. Causeway Blvd Suite 502 Metairie, LA 70002, Corresponding Patient Homes, and Office Work as Needed.

Field-Based Work: Approximately 2 days a week in the field staffing a patient, with the other 3 days spent in the office or conducting supervisory visits.

Compensation: Base salary up to $75,000, plus potential monthly bonuses, mileage reimbursement, and a cell phone stipend.

Responsibilities of the Clinical Supervisor

  • Internal case management, evaluation, and development of nursing talent
  • Participating in patient releases from facilities to their homes through "Start of Care Assessments" and "Re-evaluations"
  • Reviewing physicians' orders and updating plans of care and documentation as necessary
  • Assisting with interviewing, selecting, training, and validating new clinical staff
  • Promoting and enhancing the clinical expertise of staff to ensure safe and quality nursing care for our patients
  • Collaborating with the operations and business development team
  • Ensuring adherence to State, Federal, Local, and Aveanna policies and procedures

Qualifications of the Clinical Supervisor

  • Must have a good-standing RN license in the state where you will practice
  • Must have at least 1 year of hands-on nursing experience
  • Must be able to travel to patients' homes in designated territory
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and pass an MVR check
  • Current CPR certification from AHA or ARC
  • Must be willing to supervise nurses providing in-home skilled nursing care to infants, children, adolescents, and/or adults
