The qualified candidate will support the design, development, Integration, and maintenance of our modern infrastructure framework. The environments are a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware, providing the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large program producing a critical, strategic national asset. This will include a mixture of hands-on keyboard engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have an engineering mindset, have the ability and willingness to troubleshoot complex problems, seeking to understand virtualized design elements in a dynamic environment.

  • NOTE: This position will be based out of the RTX Facility in Aurora CO; but to support program activities; actual work performed may be on site at Buckley SFB in Aurora CO.*
  • Responsibilities to Anticipate:*
  • You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with design, development, implementation, and support of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Operating System for the project
  • You will support software deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts to support program need for the effort
  • You will Design, implement, generate code through scripting tools, test, document, and maintain the system
  • You will assist with development of build/test and integration, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premise computing environments
  • You will assist engineers with RHEL based tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices
  • Basic Qualifications:*
  • U.S. citizenship and current DOD-TS or TS/SCI Security Clearance is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Typically requires BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Physics and 2+ years of related work experience
  • Experience with infrastructure design data center systems on premise
  • Experience with scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.)
  • Experience with RHEL 6.0+ infrastructure development, implementation, and optimization for an enterprise Design
  • Preferred Qualifications:*
  • Experience with Linux system administration / VMware
  • Use of vSphere PowerCLI to manage virtual machines / virtual infrastructure
  • Understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps developments
  • Experience with the Agile development lifecycle
  • Experience with monitoring of virtualized environments
  • Security Plus within 90 days

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
