- Driving the Plating team strategically to meet customer requirements for quality, cost, and delivery; work with functional leaders, and internal staff to meet production requirements and assure the cells operate in a productive fashion consistent with changing business needs.
- Responsible for all metrics associated with a given business entity: ex. Turn-around-time, financial performance, Environmental Health and Safety goals, and established plans for improvement
- Manages a team of cell leaders to ensure all quality related items are complete and documented
- Directs cost reduction and process improvement to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness
- Directs scheduling to meet production schedules
- Oversees production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management), maintenance, scheduling, and personnel
- Accountable for the timely execution of existing Plating Modernization projects and leading future capabilities growth initiatives
- Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Demonstrated experience working in a chemical processing/electro-plating production environment
- SAP knowledge
- Experience with leadership of skilled chemical processing/electro-plating labor
- Aerospace repair and/or manufacturing experience
- Proven ability to motivate teams to achieve business goals
- Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills
- Confident making decisions in the face of limited or conflicting data while processing multiple problems in parallel
- Experience in NADCAP compliance
- Experience in FAR 145/AS 9110 compliance
- Computer competent
- Process and detail oriented, including strong interpersonal and prioritization skills
- Lean manufacturing/repair experience, ACE, or Six Sigma training
- Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion
- Be on a career break of one or more year at time of application
- Have prior experience in functional area of interest
- Have interest in returning in either a full-time or part-time position
