The Behavioral Health Therapist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapeutic interventions to individuals experiencing mental health or emotional challenges. They work collaboratively with clients to develop treatment plans, offer support, and empower them to achieve better mental and emotional well-being. This position works closely with the BH Specialty Programs Manager under the direction of the Director of Behavioral Health and Specialty Programs. Promotes and practices MidlandCAN, LLC's mission and values and follows its policies and procedures.
Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health and emotional well-being.
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, psychotherapy, or other modalities.
Help clients develop coping skills and strategies to manage their mental health challenges.
Address and manage crisis situations, providing immediate support to clients in distress.
Work to destigmatize mental health issues and promote mental health awareness.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals, to provide comprehensive care.
Consult with colleagues to discuss complex cases and seek input for treatment planning.
Adhere to ethical and legal standards in documentation.
Conduct educational sessions and workshops to promote mental health awareness and prevention.
Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
Practice self-care to prevent burnout and maintain personal well-being.

Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
