Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test including test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization, and engineering laboratory management. Raytheon is seeking a *Principal Specialist* Support Engineer to manage and implement engineering lab strategic projects and day-to-day administrative functions within multiple engineering labs, with specific focus on safety, security, and compliance using established doctrine and governance. You will be creative and innovative, possessing strong organizational, coordination, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. In the position, you must be able to collaborate with customers, employees, and senior leaders when implementing process and procedural changes.
Travel as needed to support mission and program execution, locally within Northeast, as well as business travel to other US locations.
*Lab Operating Procedure (LOP) Management; provide direction for lab users on established policies
* Management, coordination and implementation of Environment Health Safety and Sustainment
Property & Metrology Management
* Perform cost analysis, ensure task completion within approved budgets
* Provide process support to Supply Chain Management (SCM)
* Safeguarding of classified/proprietary material, hardware, and documentation, utilizing defense material/property under Export Administration Regulations
* Develop and implement communication plans, providing consulting support to functional and engineering customer management
* Work to influence stakeholders within and outside responsible area at an operational level regarding policies, practices, and procedures
* Local travel in the general area is required, with occasional travel outside the local area
*Time management skills resulting from broad administrative management responsibilities
* A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum *5* years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum *3* years experience
* Experience in an engineering lab environment area such as: safety, security, compliance and/or property management
* Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
* S. government issued security clearance is required
* S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

*Strong mechanical and/or electrical/electronic skills
* Experience with OSHA/NFPA industrial policies and regulations
* Experience with working directly with engineers, technicians and leadership in an engineering lab environment in the areas of safety, security, compliance and property management
