**Duties**

** Summary**

As a Supvy NBE/BE (Director for Retail Credit Risk), you will serve as an expert advisor in Retail Credit with responsibility for directing a team of examiners, providing analysis/advice on the planning and conducting of examinations, preparing reports and presenting findings/recommendations to senior management.

Position is located in Bank Supervision Policy / Washington, DC

**Responsibilities**

As a Supvy NBE/BE (Director for Retail Credit Risk), you will:

+ Serve as an OCC senior manager and the director for the Retail Credit division, where you will plan, organize, implement, and oversee all division activities associated with credit risk policy, with emphasis on retail credit, portfolio risk management and Basel issues.

+ Establish programs to ensure supervisory policies and division programs are successful, monitor division performance to ensure alignment with division and OCC goals and objectives, and to ensure that commitments are met.

+ Assume responsibility for directing and actively participating in the formulation, interpretation and application of supervisory policies, examination procedures and supervisory guidance within assigned functional areas to ensure banks are able to identify and manage risks, and that OCC examiners have the necessary tools to examine the bank's activities.

+ Chair the National Retail Risk Committee. Present reports on research findings and resulting recommendations to senior OCC management and industry officials.

+ Represent the OCC and conduct outreach on high level credit risk management issues in meetings with bankers, international groups, banker associations, and other Federal government groups.

+ Lead, motivate and develop a staff with a high level of technical expertise **Travel Required**

You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-VI band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:

+ Leading audits or reviews within a financial institution to identify, manage and remediate risks as well as assess compliance with appropriate banking laws and/or regulations; **AND**

+ Experience analyzing financial/banking regulations to address emerging credit risks to an organization. **The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.**
