As the Creative Director at Responsibility.org, you will serve as the visionary leader responsible for shaping the creative direction of our organization. You will lead, inspire, and manage our creative team to conceptualize and produce innovative and impactful campaigns and materials that not only align with our brand identity but also exceed client objectives. This role requires a balance of creativity, leadership, strategic thinking, effective project management, and responsible budget management to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality creative work.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and articulate the creative vision and strategy for the organization, aligning it with brand identity and client objectives
Lead and inspire the creative team to push the boundaries of creativity and deliver outstanding campaigns and materials
Foster a creative culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Always working to "find a way to 'yes'" when aligning our creative vision and standards with client objectives
Team Management and Development:
Lead, mentor, and manage two designers, prioritizing their personal, professional, and career growth
Work closely with team members to set goals, provide feedback, and ensure their creative contributions align with the organization's objectives
Project Oversight and Budget Management:
Collaborate with key stakeholders and other leaders to ensure projects are executed efficiently, meeting timelines, budgets, goals, and client expectations
Responsible for effective budget management and maintaining a standard of excellence in all creative work produced by the team, always striving for quality and consistency
Ensure creative services team has resources necessary to maximize potential of the department through effective budget management
Intentional Operational Excellence:
Set and enforce a clear process for fielding and fulfilling creative requests, tracking work, and managing resources effectively
Serve as a steward and protector of the organization's visual brands, ensuring consistent brand standards are maintained across all materials
Contribute to campaign performance reports and analyze tactics to identify areas for improvement and optimization
Client Partnerships and Communication:
Liaise with creative agency partners as necessary to support campaign and project needs
Cultivate excellent working relationships with external vendors and internal staff to ensure collaborative success
Work with client to determine goals, offerings, and calls-to-action to establish focus-driven communications
Creative Briefs and Communication:
Utilize strong writing skills to draft creative briefs and communicate effectively and concisely with the team
Continuous Learning and Innovation:
Maintain curiosity and stay updated on industry trends through continuous learning to investigate creative ways to effectively spread our messages

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

~ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred) or equivalent work experience
~5-7 years proven experience leading creative work in a creative agency or similar role
~ Strong portfolio showcasing innovative and impactful creative work and campaigns
~ Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
~ Proficiency in creative software and tools
~ Familiarity with UX/UI tools (Figma, XD, etc.)
~ Outgoing personality with the ability to cultivate strong working relationships
~ Strong writing skills and attention to detail
~ Curiosity and a passion for creative exploration
~ Mastery of additional creative programs and skills are a plus (After Effects, 3D/Cinema 4D, illustration, etc.)
