As our Field Engineer, you will travel full time from your home location to various US military bases CONUS/OCONUS supporting military Army airfield and airport mobile deployments, checkouts, and flight checks. This position will report to our office in Marlboro, MA. This is a role where you work from your home location. You are required to be available for 75-100% travel from your home base.
- Primary Responsibilities:*
- Must be able to analyze equipment failures to determine cause, develop specification compliant solutions and recommend corrective actions of Raytheon's ATNAVICS referencing Raytheon technical and/or vendor documentation at various military facilities within the continental U.S. and foreign locations.
- Be the primary point of contact for on-site customer interaction.
- Report on the execution of work schedules of internal and for all phases of the site preparation, installation, and integration of systems to ensure scheduled deadlines are met.
- Inspect site preparation activities and site design packages for completeness, errors, and recommend corrective action to meet contractual requirements.
- Qualifications/Experience Needed:*
- 4+ of experience in the field of repair and maintenance of radars and computer systems.
- Experience in electronic equipment installation and repair up to and including the depot level.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and schematic drawings.
- Ability to work independently (with reach back support) to troubleshoot and repair complicated electronics/computer systems.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience *or *an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience *or* in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued *Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.*
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Preferred Qualifications:*
- Familiarity the UNIX operating system to the command line level is desired.
- Active duty or reserve military experience is desirable but not required.
- Experience working in the field, independently as a Field Service Engineer or representative a plus.
- Be on a career break of one or more year at time of application
- Have prior experience in functional area of interest
- Have interest in returning in either a full-time or part-time position
