As the Senior Vice President of Strategic Sourcing , you will be a key member of our executive team, responsible for leading and overseeing our strategic sourcing initiatives. You will be responsible for the strategic vision of sourcing and commodity risk management of food and primary packaging categories. You will drive the development and execution of sourcing strategies to optimize costs, improve quality, and enhance the overall efficiency of our supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, and risk mitigation within the supply chain.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts, and terms to ensure favorable pricing, quality, and service levels.
Collaborate with suppliers to drive innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead efforts to optimize the end-to-end supply chain, including demand forecasting, inventory management, and distribution strategies.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including supply disruptions, quality issues, and geopolitical factors.
Develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity and minimize potential disruptions to operations.
Develop and manage budgets for sourcing activities, monitoring and controlling costs to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
Implement cost-saving initiatives and drive efficiency improvements throughout the sourcing process.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, marketing, and culinary teams, to align sourcing strategies with business objectives and customer expectations.
Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration across departments.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and ethical practices related to sourcing and procurement activities. Champion sustainability initiatives, promoting responsible sourcing practices and environmental stewardship throughout the supply chain.
Qualifications:
~ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
~10+ years experience in a leadership capacity as either a Vice President or C-level role leading food & packaging procurement functions, optimizing supply chain capabilities and scaling supply chain functions across multiple vendors and suppliers
~ Proven track record of success in strategic sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management, preferably within the food service or hospitality industry.
~ Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.
~ Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
~ Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
~ Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving cost savings, quality improvements, and operational efficiency.
~ Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends, and technologies in strategic sourcing and supply chain management.
~ Commitment to integrity, ethics, and corporate social responsibility, with a passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship.
