Title and Summary

Senior Vice President, Product, Transfer Solutions Mastercard is a global technology company in the payments sector. Reporting to the Products & Engineering (P&E) Lead for LAC; The Senior Vice President, Product, Transfer Solutions, will be responsible for scaling products and services that enable money transfer capabilities for Mastercard’s customers and consumers domestically and internationally, with a strong focus on Disbursements, Remittances and Bill Payment flows.

The SVP of Transfer Solutions will define the strategy, execute the go-to-market of the product portfolio, manage the P&L and be the main point of contact for all matters related to transfer solutions, working closely with Mastercard customers, the global product function, and the markets in the Latin America region.

The Product Portfolio includes Mastercard Send (domestic and cross-border), Cross Border Services and Bill-Payment assets. As Mastercard launches new products and services enabling new payment flows, the SVP of Transfer Solutions will have its product portfolio expanded.

Overview:

The Latin America and the Caribbean Product team is looking for its regional Senior Vice President for Transfer Solutions. We are searching for an experienced business leader, with experience in payment technology, particularly in what relates to inbound and outbound remittances, disbursements and bill payments. The candidate must have proven experience in managing and growing a business line, and be agile-savvy, with product management and business development skills.

Role:

  • Provide deep understanding of remittances (inbound and outbound), bill payments and the different payment rails supporting those flows: Cards, Open banking and real-time-payments.
  • Define the strategy and execute the go-to-market of the transfer solutions products for the Latin America region.
  • Manage the LAC transfer solutions team, working closely to the global product function and the markets in the region to execute the go-to-market of the transfer solutions strategy,
  • Own the end-to-end product management of BillPay, Cross-Border Services and Mastercard Send
  • Define the commercialization and go-to-market for the different markets in the region.
  • Define the overarching product roadmap for all products supporting transfer solutions.
  • Manage the LAC transfer Solutions P&L; delivering on revenue and expense target
  • Develop and proactively maintain relationships with potential customers, partners and other key stakeholders at the C-suite level
  • Interface with external and internal partners to identify opportunities for the development of new products and solutions
  • Build and develop the team, define and implement the optimal engagement/support model, processes and disciplines to establish MA’s partnership model as a strategic differentiator

All About You:

  • In depth understanding of the payments industry
  • Deep understanding of the money transfer flows, with particular focus on inbound and outbound remittances, disbursements and bill payments.
  • Solid experience managing products and business development.
  • Proven ability to define end-to-end product strategy and the go-to-market of new and innovative products and solutions.
  • Ability to manage and grow a team of senior professionals, driving a culture of decency, inclusion and high-performance.
  • Demonstrated multi-disciplinary knowledge, i.e. product development, emerging technologies business development, marketing, operations, risk, etc.
  • Proven experience on P&L management; delivering on revenue and expense targets
  • Flexible; able to adjust to changing demands of market, customers, and internal strategies
  • English and Spanish are mandatory. Portuguese is a differentiator.
  • Availability to travel throughout Latin America
