Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.This position will be responsible for Bloomington based production work for the Guidance Strategic Program and other production opportunities. In addition to completing current build projects, the Production Focused D5LE2 Guidance Program Manager will be responsible for capturing additional D5 work and cultivating part specification, material procurement, and production work for adjacent opportunities. The successful candidate will possess the skills and experience necessary to capture initial LE2 CCA production work and grow that into a full rate production program. This role will be responsible for achieving the financial goals of the company while meeting and exceeding the needs of the customer. The Production Focused D5LE2 Guidance Program Manager will lead a diverse team of manufacturing, engineering, contracts, and finance professionals and will have frequent interaction with the customer and subcontractors/vendors.
As a seasoned professional, you’ll use proposal plans and strategies to lead a team in developing, defining, and implementing cohesive, integrated program/product, subcontractor, and material plans, and business plans that achieve overall current and long-term objectives of the program/product, business unit, and division. The Production Focused D5LE2 Guidance Program Manager will identify needed resources for projects, define and assign major program roles, lead the establishment of and sets integrated WBS-based budget and schedule baselines, and monitor work accomplished to baseline plans to ensure rate of work completion is sufficient to meet program/product schedules. We’ll rely on you to balance program risks and opportunities with executable strategies to meet technical requirements and budgets, as well as manage people who lead cross-functional program teams in matrix organization that are focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system from design to release for customers.
Responsible for maximizing profit and cash flow of products/programs
Leads team to identify and quantify risks and opportunities and risk mitigation / opportunity
Decouples risk items from mainstream program to the greatest extent possible
Identifies potential subcontractors for program elements
Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining
solutions Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate
Very strong knowledge of products and technologies including current and potential applications
Very strong knowledge of target customer markets
Skilled in the development and implementation of product/program strategy and tactics
Must be able to establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
Ability to track work accomplished to baseline plans and identify issues, track progress, and follow through on effective corrective actions based on data analysis and trends
Ability to understand and analyze program financial data
Ability to evaluate quality of work product to ensure satisfaction of customer requirements
Very strong understanding of advanced risk and opportunity management techniques and ability to apply them to programs
Ability to lead others in team building, conflict resolution, motivation, leadership and advanced risk management
Very strong knowledge of government contracting practices and regulations regarding acquisition
Outstanding relationship management and marketing skills
Needs ability to execute company policies that affect immediate operations
Working Knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Travel required up to 25%
Strong knowledge of material and material procurement process
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Adept at planning and forecasting
Skilled at managing multiple projects
