Come join our team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist PRN. We care for our community Just last year, HCA Healthcare and our colleagues donated $13.The Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. As a vital part of the patient care team, the Respiratory Therapist performs a variety of diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures and monitors patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
You will perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure. You will conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
You will administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
You will initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
Respiratory Therapy is best described as the assessment and treatment of patients with both acute and chronic dysfunction of the cardiopulmonary system. Today’s Respiratory Therapists have demanding responsibilities related to patient care and serve as vital members of the healthcare team. Under the general supervision of the RT Supervisor or Team Leader, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by a physician 
Your duties will include medical gas administration, aerosol therapy, obtaining and analyzing blood specimens, performing patient testing, operating and maintaining various types of respiratory and cardiopulmonary equipment, providing mechanical ventilation, maintaining artificial airways, assisting with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, providing patient education, monitoring equipment and patient response to therapy  
Your additional responsibilities will include completing documentation of in-patient and departmental records, cleaning equipment, and maintaining safety and infection control practices. 
Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program required 
Must hold a current Respiratory Therapist license from the State Board for Respiratory Care
