The Emergency Preparedness Manager is accountable for the organization's overall planning, organization, direction, coordination and evaluation of emergency preparedness activities and readiness.

The incumbent will assure that RRHS maintain a state of preparedness for all emergencies that would impact operations and the organization's ability for RRHS to effectively and efficiently meet organizational goals and responsibilities to the communities and populations served. This individual is responsible to assure RRHS' compliance with all emergency preparedness regulatory requirements outlined by state and federal agencies and to serve as the organization's primary liaison with all organizations and agencies regarding actual emergency events, and emergency preparedness planning and exercises.
Bachelor’s Degree in Disaster/Emergency Management, Public Safety/Disaster Operations, Public Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Work Experience
5 years’ experience in large organization emergency preparedness including three years in a leadership role with a proven record of emergency preparedness planning, exercise planning/execution and grant support.
Experience in HAZMAT Decontamination and Emergency Response Team management/coordination.
Hospital emergency preparedness experience preferred.
Certification in disaster, hazardous materials decontamination or ICS/HICS training preferred.
Able to develop and deliver training materials for employees of all levels as well as the community.
Proficient Microsoft desktop application skills.
Knowledge of the planning, education and exercise requirements associated with the phases of emergency management.
