- Job Duties/Responsibilities: *
- Receive, unpack, and prepare samples for entry (blood, urine, body fluids, and non-biological samples)
- Verify and enter patient information into database
- Label and stabilize sample for testing
- Sort and deliver samples to multiple technical areas
- Store, retrieve, and dispose of samples based on life cycle
- Meet key production metrics while maintaining high quality standards
- Identify and flag sample issues that may impact testing
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure your safety and the safety of others
- Requirements:*
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Able to work independently under general supervision
- Able to pass a standardized color blind test
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50-lbs
- Strong data entry/10-key and organizational skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Medical/clinical laboratory experience a plus
