Specimen Accessioner

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Specimen Accessioner to join our team in Saint Paul, MN. As a Specimen Accessioner, you will be responsible for performing specimen receipt, sample sorting, and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment.

• Receive, unpack, and prepare samples for entry (blood, urine, body fluids, and non-biological samples)
• Verify and enter patient information into database
• Label and stabilize sample for testing
• Sort and deliver samples to multiple technical areas
• Store, retrieve, and dispose of samples based on life cycle
• Meet key production metrics while maintaining high quality standards
• Identify and flag sample issues that may impact testing
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure your safety and the safety of others

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Able to work independently under general supervision
• Able to pass a standardized color blind test
• Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50-lbs
• Strong data entry/10-key and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Medical/clinical laboratory experience a plus
