Your work environment You will be part of the Site Civil team, working on Site Civil / Land Development projects across the U.S. The role offers hybrid work arrangements and includes the Buildings, Telecommunications, and Mission Critical practices. Responsibilities Prepare and oversee engineering analysis, design, and calculations for all site civil work: site access, grading, drainage, utility networks, and erosion control. Coordinate with clients, government agencies, and other project design leaders across multiple time zones. Generate detailed reports to demonstrate compliance with local design guidelines. Lead project teams through planning, design, construction, and business development, seeking future business opportunities. Engage, mentor, and motivate junior staff through counsel, goal setting, and knowledge transfer. Plan, schedule, and coordinate preparation of documents or activities for multiple simultaneous projects across multiple states. Provide quality oversight and reviews of design and calculations performed by staff. Serve as the lead on significant or complex projects. Assist in developing processes and provide input on achieving company and office operational excellence while growing the practice. Review project changes, contract alterations, work requests, and factors that may significantly affect staffing or budget. Travel as needed to support projects and business development efforts. Provide technical assistance in resolving design problems, including field investigation, detailed design work, and review of calculations. Act as a technical specialist and represent the organization in appropriate professional societies. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum of eight (8) years of experience with land development projects. Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of residence. Demonstrated technical experience with a wide range of civil projects and client service. Proven track record of innovation, leadership, and creativity. Experience leading projects through entitlement processes and municipal code. Understanding of business and financial principles in a consulting environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to lead and develop an engineering and project management team. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D design software. Proficiency with SWMM, ICPR, HEC, or similar modeling software. Proficient technical and computer skills, including virtual meeting facilitation. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $110,000 – $150,000 (adjusted for location and qualifications). Comprehensive benefits include health insurance, vacation time, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
