Overview Additional/Dual Appointment – Optometrist, CF- Pelican Bay State Prison (PBSP). California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking Optometrist currently employed with the State of California who are interested in additional appointments to provide coverage in a part-time capacity, up to 40 hours per month. These dual appointments are available to all Optometrists currently employed by the State. The primary condition is that the additional appointment must be a distinctly different role from the primary job, and you cannot be a supervisor, manager, or executive. Onsite dual appointments at your primary institution may be available. Job Description And Duties Optometrist, Correctional Facility $44.90 - $59.53 hourly rate Location: Pelican Bay State Prison, Crescent City, CA (Del Norte County). Key aspects of the role: Provide coverage as an optometrist in a part-time capacity up to 40 hours per month. Dual appointment must be a distinct role from your primary assignment; you cannot hold a supervisor, manager, or executive position in the primary role. Onsite dual appointments at your primary institution may be available. Additional Information: Time worked is not considered overtime. Time worked will be outside your normal hours. The dates and hours of work will be determined by the hiring location.
