Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician will be involved in all activities related to preventative maintenance, setting up, installing, dismantling, assembling, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment used in the production of corrugated sheets. The Maintenance Technician ensures that all equipment runs properly and meets operational and specification requirements. They will operate in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work on systems such as high-speed corrugating machines, robotic assembly devices, conveyors, batch mixers, electrical distribution systems, and building automation systems.
  • Perform a basic mix of electro-mechanical industrial maintenance, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Troubleshoot and replace A/C motors, D/C motors, analog and digital sensors, bearings, gearboxes, and hydraulic/pneumatic components.
  • Calibrate machines both electrically and mechanically.
  • Schedule required maintenance per established preventative maintenance (PM) schedules.
  • Schedule routine work orders and respond to emergency work orders within established timelines.
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for maintenance-related tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of plant operations and facility management.
  • Share knowledge with the team and gain knowledge from others.
  • Read and interpret schematics (preferred).
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Be self-motivated, dependable, punctual, and organized.
  • Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based on business needs.


Minimum Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • Educational Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • College coursework and/or certification program coursework required.
  • Job-related certifications, a plus.
  • Preferred Candidate Will Possess:
  • Prior experience in the corrugated industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing facility, installing and troubleshooting electrical components and machinery.
  • Related military training/experience is a plus.


Language Skills

  • Working understanding of spoken and written English.


Mathematical Skills

  • Must be able to read and use a non-metric measuring tape.
  • Must be able to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Required visual abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Required auditory abilities as per OSHA standards.


Working Conditions

  • Workspace is not climate-controlled and can range from hot to cold extremes (30°F - 110°F).
  • Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions.
  • Occasional exposure to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration.
  • Consistently loud work environment.
