The role is full‑time with a regular employee status and requires some field work and periodic travel. Key Responsibilities Lead a team of electrical engineers and designers on thermal generation projects, managing project execution from detailed engineering to construction. Work with clients and internal disciplines to develop plans, lead the team, manage change, and assure high‑quality outcomes. Prepare or coordinate contract drawings, specifications, schedules, details, and sketches from conceptual design through construction. Collaborate with team members across Stantec disciplines to achieve project success. Assist in developing proposals and provide technical mentorship to junior staff. Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own and peer projects. Develop project scope, budgets, and design approach for projects of all sizes. Qualifications Self‑motivated, team oriented, and efficient with strong communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong leadership, collaborative, written, and verbal communication abilities. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Experience with Stantec’s quality control guidelines. Commitment to Stantec’s Employee Health & Safety (EH&S) program. Willingness to be mentored and to mentor others, contributing to team competency and culture. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. At least 10 years of engineering design and construction experience on power plant projects. Experience leading an electrical project group and producing complete electrical drawings and documents (single‑line diagrams, equipment specifications, system calculations, physical drawings, cable schedules, etc.). Professional Engineer status with any U.S. state licensure board is preferred but not required.
