This position reports directly to the CFO, oversees two staff members, and offers a clear growth runway to Controller within 1–2 years. This is a mostly remote opportunity — expected to be onsite 1 day per week initially, then transition to nearly fully remote once trained and acclimated. Responsibilities Lead the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses Maintain integrity of the general ledger, including material journal entries and subsystem interfaces (AP, payroll, revenue, fixed assets) Partner with Operations and Revenue Cycle teams to ensure accurate COGS, AR valuation, and revenue recognition Prepare executive-level financial analyses and recommendations Assist in the annual budget process Support year-end audit and tax preparation; coordinate with external auditors Prepare supporting schedules, surveys, and internal/external data requests Supervise, train, and develop two accounting team members Oversee bank reconciliations and maintain strong internal controls Participate in process improvements and policy development Complete ad hoc projects for the CFO as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Healthcare or health-systems industry experience required 3–5+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and monthly close CPA preferred but not required Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Accounting/Auditing Industries Hospitals and Health Care and Health and Human Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at firstPRO, Inc by 2x #J-18808-Ljbffr
