The Mapjects developer must be independent, driven and responsible. Support application development, prototyping, modeling. Support configuration changes, with ALM tools, identify application bottlenecks and opportunities to optimize performance. Provides resolutions to an extensive range of complicated problems. Solutions are expectedted to be innovative, thorough, and practicable. Works under limited direction independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work shall be evaluated upon completion for adequacy in satisfying objectives, team collaboration and contribution. Represents the organization as the principal customer contact on contracts and often performs project leadership role. Interacts with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters frequently requiring coordination across organizational lines. Qualifications Basics Development of new or existing web-based applications using Java, Java-Servlets, JSP, JSF, XML, J2EE, Web Services. Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills. A senior-level professional who is a motivated and effective team player. Experience with working on Agile project teams. Preferred Skills Familiarity with web-based applications. Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the Waterfall or agile methodology. Familiarity with bug and change request tracking tools. Education BS in an Information Systems or related field of study. College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred (typically 5-7 years of related experience).
