6 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Fueling Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fueling system engineering, coupled with a proven track record in business development, mentoring, and construction document production experience. This role will involve a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and relationship management to drive business growth and ensure the successful execution of fueling projects. Responsibilities Lead the design, analysis, and implementation of fueling systems for various applications, including aviation systems, bulk storage, emergency generators, fleet fueling, industrial storage, marine fueling, retail fueling, and truck stops. Incorporate basic understanding of electrical power and low voltage control systems. Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations to optimize fueling system designs for efficiency, safety, and reliability. Facilitate collaboration with various engineering disciplines. Manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fueling systems into broader engineering projects and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Implement process improvements and workflow optimizations to enhance productivity and efficiency in plan set production. Business Development Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the fueling industry, including market analysis, client prospecting, and proposal development. Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients, partners, and stakeholders to foster repeat business and drive revenue growth. Develop strategic partnerships and alliances to expand market reach and capitalize on emerging trends in fueling technology and infrastructure. Mentoring And Talent Development Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical training to junior engineers and team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in fueling system design and engineering practices. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation, professional growth, and continuous learning among team members. Conduct performance evaluations, set development goals, and provide constructive feedback to support the career progression of individuals within the team. Your Day To Day Prepare construction plans, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications for fleet fueling systems, retail auto fueling, truck stops, marinas, airports and generator systems for both UST and AST projects. Assist in the preparation of calculations such as pipe flow calculations and UST bury calculations. Take an active role in new business development. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in fueling system engineering, design, and implementation. Proven track record in business development, including client relationship management, proposal writing, and contract negotiation. Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals and objectives. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing fueling system design and operation, such as IBC, API, ASME, NFPA, and FAA guidelines. Knowledge of using AutoCAD for viewing, verifying, and coordinating engineering design coordination for producing construction documents. The estimated starting base salary for this role is $115,000 to $155,000. Note: This is a Denver based position with the option of a hybrid model after completing six months of in‑office onsite experience.
