Job Description Access coverage plans on Google Classrooms. Meet with teachers prior to covering their class to review the agenda when possible. Follow school‑wide expectations for management and behavior to maintain a safe and affirming student culture. Deliver instruction as outlined by teacher plans. Collect and save student work to return to the absent teacher. Communicate with parents when necessary, providing positive and critical feedback. Support timely transitions by monitoring students in hallways and walking classes to and from lunch/recess. Observe in classrooms, attend planning and content meetings, and plan with mentor teachers on days when not covering. Monitor halls and support common spaces, lunch/recess, and arrival/dismissal. Attend all Professional Development sessions during summer and summer school, beginning in August. Attend content and team meetings as instructed. Participate in arrival and dismissal duty. Qualifications 30 college credits; Associate’s degree or equivalent experience. Ability to build strong relationships with students and families. Unquestioned integrity and commitment to KIPP Baltimore’s mission. Professional demeanor and strong self‑confidence. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Flexibility and adaptability. Strong judgment and decision‑making. Exceptional organizational skills. High energy, empathy, humility, and a good sense of humor.
