Technical Business Developer, ADC Network Development Join to apply for the Technical Business Developer, ADC Network Development role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) Description Application deadline: Feb 3, 2026 AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support AWS data centers to ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. The role supports deployment of one of the world’s largest telecommunication networks and is within the Global Connectivity Infrastructure Delivery – Fiber Deployment organization. Responsibilities and Key job duties include: Strategic Leadership & Program Management Provide regular updates to senior management Serve as a key member of the team driving overall Network Infrastructure strategy Manage multiple competing cross‑functional projects/programs simultaneously Periodical reports on overall network development program status Vendor & Supplier Management Manage vendors to ensure on‑time deployment, measure progress, and evaluate performance through quality KPIs Identify and develop commercial solutions for wavelengths, dark fiber, and other network infrastructure capacity Negotiate key vendor contracts with AWS legal teams Own pricing, billing, and service level availability compliance Work with suppliers to verify and gain supply in response to forecast demand and network topology plans Network Planning & Development Work closely with service owners and internal customers to understand product roadmaps Develop strategic backbone and metro supply plans for short, medium, and long‑term needs Collaboratively develop network infrastructure execution plans involving leased wavelengths, dark fiber, and submarine cable capacity/builds Participate in strategic network topology planning for global backbone and metro networks Financial & Compliance Management Work with finance partners on budget creation, business case development, and deal analysis Create and standardize reporting mechanisms and provide progress updates Track market trends, vendor technologies, cost, and deal structures Ensure compliance with local telecom regulations and identify opportunities to improve operating models Manage costs and provide financial updates Operational Excellence Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed Anticipate bottlenecks, manage risk and escalations, and balance business needs versus technical constraints Interact with engineers, technicians, vendors, and senior management daily This role requires onsite field visits, physical inspections, and travel for weekly reporting. It is not a full‑time remote position. About The Team The Global Infrastructure Fiber Deployment team delivers hyperscale networks across North and South America, drawing from telecommunications, civil engineering, fiber characterization, and network planning talent. Basic Qualifications Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies related to infrastructure 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience; 5+ years in telecommunications procurement and negotiations Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds Preferred Qualifications Experience in network planning, construction/implementation, or commercial implementation at an ISP, telecom operator, or hyperscaler Experience interacting with senior management across multiple areas or customers Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
