SAIC is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to support a highly dynamic and evolving program with one of our US Government customers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-year initiative that drives systems engineering and integration across a diverse range of projects. You'll be instrumental in leveraging technical expertise to address real-world challenges, aiding the customer in mission-critical operations that directly impact national security daily. Our program’s longstanding history (20 years) and close collaboration with the customer provide a strong foundation for personal growth and development. Role Overview: As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle management, including conceptualization, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning, of intelligence systems. Critical to this role will be your ability to manage the initial system development phases. Exceptional communication skills (both oral and written) are essential to navigate the dynamic program environment effectively. General Responsibilities: Act as the primary point of contact for system deployments, operations, and maintenance. Collaborate with system developers to enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain systems. Ensure mission continuity and optimal operation by working closely with system operators. Handle system data output, ensuring proper formatting and delivery. Support the customer in evaluating technical performance of developers. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Extensive experience in systems engineering, specifically with SIGINT system design. Proven ability to work independently and effectively represent the customer with developers and external organizations. Comprehensive understanding of the full system development lifecycle. Familiarity with data analysis and enterprise data systems. Proficiency in terrestrial communications, data circuits, and general networking. Educational background: Bachelors degree and 14+ years of experience, or Masters degree and 12+ years of experience, or PhD with 9+ years of experience. Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
