As a Civil Engineering Senior Project Manager/Principal (Design) for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Houston, TX office, you will be responsible for client and project management, including the technical and financial management aspects of projects, as well as business development. Working with Principals in the Civil/Site Practice, you will develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand and help them achieve their goals. You will also represent the company at conferences, events, and project meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and other project stakeholders.You will work closely with other CEC professionals locally and across the country to develop opportunities, build business relationships, and apply best practices to address client needs. You will also work closely with your Principal and Project Managers to develop project schedules, assemble a project team, and assign tasks for the project, often times coordinating with several other practices. You will maintain involvement throughout the design of the project, mentoring junior and mid-level staff in the proper planning, design, permitting, and execution of projects, and you will conduct technical reviews of client deliverables.Our comprehensive benefits package includes bonus recognition, based on performance, as well as participation in our employee stock ownership program. Additionally, we conduct mid-year and end-of-year performance reviews and provide goal-setting opportunities.B.S. in Civil Engineering; 15+ years’ experience; Professional Engineering License (P.E.); Proficiency in computer modeling software such as AutoCAD/Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, WaterCAD, etc.; Ability and desire to mentor staff; Ability to provide a technical review of Civil Engineering deliverables; Ability to prepare proposals and manage project execution; Ability to manage multi-discipline projects. For example, a project that includes survey, environmental, geotechnical, and construction phase services; and Ability to interface with clients, network, and develop business.
