Coverage Needed Start Date: March 2, 2026 End Date: End Date: January 1, 2027 Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM Call Schedule: 1:3, every third week including weekends, from Friday to Friday Clinical Details Inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology Average inpatient volume: 12-15 patients per day Average outpatient volume: 8-10 patients in a half day, 15 in a full day GI Lab Location: Average of 12-15 cases per day, 3-5 days spent in the lab Endoscopy Suite/Center: 10-12 cases per day, 3-5 days spent here Equipment: Olympus & Provation EMR: Meditech Expanse Support Staff: 2 physicians, 2 PAs, 1 NP, 5 LPN/MAs, 1 registrar, 1 RN coordinator Call includes coverage for the ED during the day MAC: Propofol for sedation with anesthesiologist and CRNA in each procedure room No ERCP/EUS required, but preferred Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology (ABIM or AOA) Pennsylvania license required at time of presentation Comfortable with endoscopy and colonoscopy Ability to work both inpatient and outpatient settings Willingness to cover multiple locations Completion of online modules during credentialing process Preferred candidates can work full week stretches
