Hematology/Oncology Physician Job Details Location: Beckley, WV 25801 (West Virginia healthcare jobs) Assignment Type: Locum tenens physician contract Start Date: December 1, 2025 End Date: March 2, 2026 (option to extend) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Call: Inpatient call rotation (1 in 3 weeks) Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts Hours per Week: 40 Patient Load: 15 adult patients per day Support Staff: Nurses, Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs), Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) EMR: Cerner electronic medical records Special Procedures: Bone marrow biopsy Minimum Commitment: 3 weeks per month required Estimated Weekly Pay: $15,160 - $16,250 Physician Qualifications Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology (required) Completed Oncology Fellowship (required) Active West Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain (temporary license available) DEA license (required) BLS and ACLS certifications (required) 3-5 years of experience in hematology/oncology physician jobs No gaps in medical licensure; clean background required Pre-application for background and license verification required Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive hematology and oncology care to adult patients Perform bone marrow biopsies and related clinical procedures Participate in inpatient call rotation every third week Work collaboratively with nurses, CMAs, and APPs Document patient care using Cerner EMR Provide compassionate, high-quality care in both outpatient clinic and hospital settings Apply now to join our healthcare team in Beckley, West Virginia and make a difference in cancer care Benefits GHR Healthcare offers 401K with Matching, Healthcare, Dental and Vision to Employees.
