**Shift:** Day - 5x8 - 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years
**License:** Active Colorado Speech Language Pathologist License or valid compact license
**Certifications:** Current CPR (BLS) certification
**Must-Have:**
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence granted by the American Speech Language Hearing Association, in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
**Job Description:**
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with speech, language, or swallowing disorders.
- Offer patient/family education and ensure appropriate referrals.
- Deliver high-quality care through a coordinated, comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach.
- Address communication barriers to help individuals reach their maximum level of independence.
- Evaluate and assess patients, create and implement care plans, and reassess for goal achievement.
- Interact professionally with patients and families to involve them in care planning.
- Apply therapeutic principles and practices based on evidence, clinical judgment, and patient preference.
- Adapt services considering patients' differences, values, preferences, and needs.
- Practice safely to minimize risk to patients, self, and others.
- Produce quality documentation in a timely manner following professional and regulatory guidelines.
- Collect and analyze data from outcome measures to monitor patient progress and intervention benefits.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, and leadership.
- Submit accurate documentation and billing/coding information promptly.
- Participate in continuous professional development to maintain a level of clinical practice aligned with best practice standards.
- Critically assess self to improve clinical and professional performance.
- Advocate for the speech therapy profession.
- Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols to protect patients and employees.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, reviewing publications, networking, and participating in professional societies.
- Develop rehab and hospital staff by providing information and conducting training programs.
- Comply with legal and certification requirements by studying legislation and advising management on needed actions.
- Promote health and create a safe and effective treatment environment.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Fulfill departmental, hospital, state, and federal regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures for patients, staff, and the public.
- Complete annual education, training, in-service, and licensure/certification requirements.
- Attend staff meetings or read meeting minutes as required.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and relationships with all patients, staff, and vendors.
- Utilize initiative, manage activity and time efficiently, and participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives.
