As a Licensed Psychiatric Technician, you will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients with behavioral support and assess the need for additional resources. Your role includes implementing and evaluating care plans, performing assigned tasks, and collaborating with the nursing and multidisciplinary teams to support patient well-being. This position floats to various units within the UCLA Health system based on the patient census and the skills of the Psychiatric Technician. Hospital locations include, but are not limited to the following: Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center UCLA West Valley Medical Center UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital *May convert to a career opportunity* Salary range: $41.37-$41.37 Hourly Qualifications We're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated professional with: At least 6 months of clinical experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting or equivalent required California Psychiatric Technician Licensure required BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Crossrequired Demonstrated ability to provide individual and group activities to psychiatric patients on an acute psychiatric inpatient Knowledge of psychological functioning and deviations from normal Knowledge of growth and development throughout the life span Knowledge of techniques of therapeutic communication Knowledge of Drug administration Knowledge of management of assaultive behavior Knowledge of Evacuation, fire and disaster procedures Knowledge of HIPAA
