Join us and find out for yourself.As a Licensed Psychiatric Technician, you will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to patients with behavioral support and assess the need for additional resources. Your role includes implementing and evaluating care plans, performing assigned tasks, and collaborating with the nursing and multidisciplinary teams to support patient well-being.This position floats to various units within the UCLA Health system based on the patient census and the skills of the Psychiatric Technician. Hospital locations include, but are not limited to the following:Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical CenterUCLA Santa Monica Medical CenterUCLA West Valley Medical CenterUCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric HospitalMay convert to a career opportunity*Salary range: $41.37-$41.37 HourlyJob QualificationsPress space or enter keys to toggle section visibilityWe're seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated professional with:At least 6 months of clinical experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting or equivalent requiredCalifornia Psychiatric Technician Licensure requiredBLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross requiredDemonstrated ability to provide individual and group activities to psychiatric patients on an acute psychiatric inpatientKnowledge of psychological functioning and deviations from normalKnowledge of growth and development throughout the life spanKnowledge of techniques of therapeutic communicationKnowledge of Drug administrationKnowledge of management of assaultive behaviorKnowledge of Evacuation, fire and disaster proceduresKnowledge of HIPAA
