Join to apply for the Director of Nursing (DON) role at Brethren Care Village . Full‑time. Starting at $87,000 per year based on experience. Department: Health Care Center. Responsibilities Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the day‑to‑day functions of the nursing service department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long‑term care facility. Serve on weekly leadership meetings, daily utilization review, and QAPI meetings (falls, skin, weight, infection control). Determine staffing needs of the nursing department with the support of the Assistant Director of Nursing and the Staff Scheduler. Participate as needed in the selection of residents for admission to the facility. Develop, plan, conduct, and schedule in‑service training classes that provide instructions on how to do the job, and ensure a well‑educated nursing service department. Serve and/or delegate as the facility's Infection Control Designee pursuant to the provisions of its Infection Control Program. Recommend to the Administrator the equipment and supply needs of the department. Participate in the development of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident. Keep abreast of economic conditions and recommend to the Administrator adjustments in nursing services that ensure the continued ability to provide quality care. Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information; report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure. Qualifications Minimum nursing degree from an accredited college or university. Current, unencumbered, active RN license in this state. Minimum two (2) years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility preferred. Preferred six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices. Onsite presence required.
