VP of Corporate Human Resources | SHRM Certified Professional Territory: National Account - Midwest The candidate will be domicile in the Chicago area. This position requires travel. Description: The National Account Executive is an outside sales position responsible for marketing and selling ocean transportation services in the assigned region. The primary responsibility is to develop, manage, and execute day-to-day activities with existing and new customers to secure business for the import/export trade lanes for the National Accounts. This position reports to the National Account Director and works closely with Sales Management and Commercial Teams to achieve sales targets and KPI. Responsibilities: Develop and manage TPWB, TPEB, TAWB, and TAEB Out-bound and In-bound trades (Reefer and Dry) to generate maximum profit. Regularly make in-person visits to new and existing customers to develop and maintain account base. Proactively find new ways to acquire new customers. Manage assigned customer and budget base. Pursue and secure business in line with corporate and regional objectives within the market segment. Meet and exceed sales targets and KPI (Key Performance Indicator) set by management. Utilize CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools for sales leads, targets, and related client information. Pursue additional business development opportunities with existing customers. Build relationships with internal counterparts including pricing, operations, and other teams to collaborate. Keep abreast of market trends and account activities. Communicate regularly with overseas offices to meet international customer requirements. Attend weekly meetings and prepare weekly preplan and post-plans. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum 2 years of outside sales experience in ocean transportation industry. A team player with a positive attitude. Ambitious and proactive. Professional and personable demeanor. Excellent verbal and written communications. Ability to network and build rapport with external customers and internal counterparts. Proficient with MS Office suite and CRM. Must have valid driver’s license and willing to travel. The candidate will be domicile in the Chicago area.
