Senior Finance Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high growth privately held family-owned for over 65+ years construction organization that is expanding its finance team and implementing a new ERP system. Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Finance Manager will oversee FP&A, financial operations, drive financial performance and support the achievement of business objectives. This is a hands-on role and will be intimately involved in the day-to-day operations of the finance department.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct enterprise-wide financial planning and analysis.
  • Provide financial strategy and decision support.
  • Assist in developing and implementing business processes and policies within the Finance organization.
  • Ensure integrity of all revenues and compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Perform financial modeling, analysis, forecasting, and ad-hoc projects.
  • Oversee analysis of capital assets projects and working capital management.
  • Collaborate with executive staff to control essential financial business operations.
  • Lead preparation and delivery of accurate financial and operational management reporting.
  • Implement key performance indicators and strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement policies and best practices to achieve objectives.
  • Create business plans for new products, services, and markets.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Facilitate implementation of new financial systems and modifications.
  • Support CFO on strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects.
  • Perform other duties as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or similar.
  • MBA preferred.
  • FP&A experience and leadership experience required.
  • Experience in building out finance function in an organization.
  • Advanced data modeling skills.
  • Union labor experience preferred.
  • Construction or equipment industry experience preferred.
  • Previous Finance experience at corporate level or with revenues of $300M+ preferred.
  • Proficiency in managing Enterprise Applications and software implementations for Finance required.
  • Proficiency in system integrations and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to optimize work of others.
  • Strong business acumen and judgment.
  • Experience supporting senior management in a hands-on role.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports and projections.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven track record in business transformations.
  • Knowledge of financial and legal best practices.
