JOB DESCRIPTION

The National Account Specialist is responsible for selling new accounts and maintaining and expanding the relationships with existing national accounts. The National Account Specialist is also responsible for directing all activities of the CBC client account team and meeting or exceeding Hamilton Parker’s assigned metrics for sales, operating margin, receivables and customer satisfaction. The National Account Specialist must reflect and represent Hamilton Parker’s core values, H.E.A.R.T. (History, Enthusiastic, Adaptive, Reputable, Team-oriented).


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sell new projects and programs for new and existing clients.
  • Establish and maintain a productive and professional relationships with clients’ stakeholders including contacts within brands, architectural firms, general contracting companies and large franchise ownership groups.
  • Create and execute strategic sales and client account plans for all prospects and clients consistent with company goals and objectives.
  • Proactively lead client and company strategic account planning process and ongoing monthly, quarterly, and annual meetings.
  • Lead efforts to anticipate and solve client issues.
  • Meet assigned targets for sales and profitability.
  • Strategically think and develop solutions for clients.
  • Respond to bids.
  • Negotiate contracts.
  • Project manage programs.
  • Learn, understand, and be able sell individual products and overall program solutions.


SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Must have record of successful sales, relationship building, prospecting, cold calling and territory management.
  • Outstanding sales and account management skills.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • A positive attitude towards work and life.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Friendly and personable nature with all levels of management and support personnel.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel 20%- 30%.


EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • College degree preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in outside sales.
  • Previous background within commercial construction preferred.
