Senior Accounting Manager


We are seeking an outstanding Senior Accounting Manager to join our clients company headquarters. This company is undergoing significant transformation this year, experiencing rapid expansion while refining and enhancing their systems and processes to facilitate this growth.

The ideal candidate will have a mix of accounting and financial reporting experience, demonstrating a strong aptitude for process improvement and problem-solving. In addition to overseeing and managing daily accounting operations, they will actively engage with the broader financial landscape and collaborate closely with other departments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Oversee accounting operations, lead a team of Staff/Senior accountants, and ensure our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently
  • Manage the monthly financial close activities, reviewing and/or posting journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation
  • Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting including the review and implementation of process and system changes
  • Lead collaboration with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
  • Analyze the effect of statutory accounting practices and studies regulations and guidance to ensure correct application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Actively review and advise on financial/accounting processes
  • Leads and supports other key ad-hoc initiatives and projects


Required Qualifications:


  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 7+ years of professional accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • supervisory experience of accounting/financial reporting functions
  • to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • thinking and problem-solving skills
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation


Preferred Qualifications:


  • MBA / CPA or CPA eligible
  • SEC reporting experience
