McKenna Snyder LLC is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support for our office located in Exton, PA. The ideal candidate must maintain positive working relationships with attorneys, support staff and clients and must observe confidentiality of client and firm matters. Must be proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel. 2-3 years of legal experience is preferred.


Primary duties include:


Type, edit, and compile legal documents, correspondence, memoranda and related materials.

·        Review documents for completeness as well as typographical, formatting and gram

·        Enters attorney time into the Firm billing system.

·        Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar, and content; makes appropriate changes.

·        Creates, maintains and manages information in electronic and hardcopy formats.

·        Maintains attorney calendar; plans and schedules conferences, teleconferences, and travel; records and monitors deadlines.

Assist in litigation management and support, document production and eDiscovery requests.

Perform duties associated with electronic invoice management, including opening, maintaining, and closing files, matter entry and update material, scan documents, attach to appropriate file.

Perform general administrative duties including, but not limited to handling of daily mail,drafting correspondence, answering/screening telephone calls, appointment scheduling, as required.

Perform assignments or related duties, as required, to assist attorneys, on a vast majority of requests requiring legal project management and/or timely and complex preparation of a variety of legal documents including letters, forms, pleadings; and carry out any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

·        Must exhibit a high degree of initiative in managing multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented work environment utilizing excellent judgment, and decision-making skills.   


SKILLS:

 

·        Technical proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel are preferred.

 

·        Ability to work with complex documents and produce them into properly formatted documents. Highly organized and detail oriented with an ability to prioritize and multi-task.


·        Keyboarding skills of 70 wpm or higher required.


··        Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate in person, by e-mail and telephone and to follow instruction effectively from a diverse group of clients, attorneys and staff and provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact.

 

·        Knowledge of legal principles and practices.

 

·        Ability to proofread typed material for contextual, grammatical, typographical or spelling errors.

 

·        Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computer, photocopiers, fax machines, and typewriter.

 

·        Maintain acceptable attendance record in accordance with firm policy.
