Seeking a full-time experienced Trust & Estates paralegal to work full-time on location with the flexibility to join the estate practice group in Rockville, MD. We are looking for a paralegal with a minimum of 2 years of experience to work with the estate attorneys on estate documents and in trust and probate administration. In a fast-paced firm, the candidate should have strong organizational, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a professional demeanor. Requires the ability to work independently and can process a variety of tasks and be a member of a team that is committed to client service. The salary and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with your experience. We are an equal-opportunity employer.


Status: Direct Hire

Salary: Up to $75K DOE

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • New client intake
  • Scheduling
  • Managing and communicating with clients
  • Preparation of marketing materials and presentations
  • Coordinating logistics of estate plan signings
  • Corporate record keeping
  • Preparing first drafts of estate planning documents with our in-house software (such as wills, advance medical directives, financial powers of attorney, and trusts)
  • Assisting with record keeping and bookkeeping for the trusts and estates that they administer.


Job Requirements:

  • Excellent , strong interpersonal and telephone communication skills, excellent research and writing skills, and a desire to interact with clients and coworkers
  • An interest in estate planning, trust and estate administration and business law.
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping or accounting software and be comfortable reviewing financial (bank, investment, etc.) statements.
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of work experience in a law firm or other office setting is required.
  • Must be able to type at least 60 words per minute and have strong skills with all Microsoft Office programs and Apple computers.
  • The candidate will need to obtain a Virginia Notary Commission at the firm’s expense.
