Role Description

Join our team as a Senior Systems Engineer and play a pivotal role in transforming the landscape of technology. This position offers the unique opportunity to delve into complex challenges, applying your engineering expertise to design and coordinate hardware and software platforms working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated industry experience in coordinating the design and execution of a hardware product development program from prototype to mass production is a must. Responsibilities:

  • Manage project dependencies, resources and deliverables across multiple client projects
  • Use Agile methodologies to drive project execution (e.g. daily standups, sprint planning, etc..)
  • Produce technical documentation for projects including proposals,  status reports,  compliance reports,  user guides, etc..
  • Work closely with management to identify talent growth opportunities


Qualifications


  • MS in Engineering or related discipline
  • 10 year industry experience in hardware or software product development
  • 5 years experience in a technical leadership role
  • Proficient with industry standard collaboration paradigms such as Agile
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively to colleagues
  • Ability to work with external stakeholders such as vendors and clients
  • Ability to lead, mentor and grow other members of the team.


Ideal candidate traits

  • Experience with one or more relevant disciplines such as mechanical design for manufacture, PCB design, firmware development
  • Familiar with CI/CD workflows e.g. using Github


This is a hybrid position, requiring in-person presence at our office in Oakland, CA.   May require occasional travel to client locations, conferences, etc.
