We are assisting a fast-growing SaaS company with their search for a VP of People. Our client is in Austin, TX and they are working a hybrid work schedule. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading human resources strategies, particularly in managing integration processes following mergers and acquisitions. As VP of People, you will be instrumental in aligning our workforce strategy with our business goals, fostering a vibrant company culture, and leading our talent acquisition and development to support our continued growth.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute an HR strategy that supports the overall strategic direction of the organization, focusing on talent optimization, organizational and performance management, employee & leadership development, and data-driven insights (KPIs)
  • Provide strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and workforce alignment requirements to the executive management team
  • Enhance and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives and Core Values
  • Implement robust talent management practices to identify and develop high-potential employees for future leadership roles
  • Oversee succession planning and performance calibration processes to support continuous leadership development and organizational readiness
  • Implement learning and development programs that equip employees with necessary skills and growth opportunities
  • Accountable for the recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to ensure the hiring of top talent
  • Collaborate with marketing team to enhance Company’s employer brand, positioning us as an employer of choice in the tech industry
  • Support and guide the integration of employees and cultures following mergers and acquisitions.
  • Partner with internal leaders to help shape our People Operations to support desired business outcomes and scale as Company continues to grow
  • Assess and enhance HR software, tools, and processes
  • Leverage and/or implement HR technologies to improve department efficiency and employee experience
  • Identify opportunities to improve People programs by implementing process improvements and leveraging technology
  • Evaluate and enhance performance management to ensure it reflects strategic goal achievement, high performance and alignment to Company’s Core Values
  • Ensure compliance with all labor regulations


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • ​​​​​​​8+ years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the technology or SaaS sector
  • Deep understanding of employment law, compliance, and industry regulations
  • Outstanding leadership and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in overseeing HR functions during mergers and acquisitions
