Their team is passionate about staying ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving landscape of digital media.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Media Strategist to join our client on a freelance basis. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of various social media platforms, trends and best practices, along with a proven track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies for brands across different industries. This is a W-2 contract opportunity and candidate must be willing to use their own laptop. Contract duration will be open ended, and candidates should be able to work 30-40 hours/week.

Social Media Strategist Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive social media strategies aligned with client objectives, target audience and industry trends
  • Create and manage content calendars for multiple social media platforms, ensuring consistency in voice, tone and messaging
  • Generate engaging and shareable content (including text, image, and video) optimized for each platform
  • Monitor social media channels for trending topics, conversations and opportunities for engagement
  • Analyze social media metrics and performance data to identify insights and optimize strategies for improved results
  • Stay updated on emerging social media trends, tools and platforms, and provide recommendations for implementation
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (including creative, account management and analytics) to ensure alignment and integration of social media strategies with overall marketing efforts


Social Media Strategist Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Proven experience in social media management and strategy development in an agency setting
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Sprout Social, Hootsuite)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling and concise content
  • Experience working with influencer marketing
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
