Job Summary
Spearheads the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and communications strategies across the University Medical Center Foundation of El Paso, El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation, and Fundación UMC de México. Collaborates closely with the Executive Director to ensure that marketing efforts align with the Foundations' goals and missions, aiming to increase visibility, support fundraising efforts, and promote local, regional, and international community outreach. The role is pivotal for enhancing the Foundations’ public presence and engagement through innovative, multichannel marketing initiatives encompassing public relations, digital and print marketing, social media strategies, and website management. Position requires to occasionally work evenings, weekends and holiday for events and/or meetings. Travel may also be required.
Skills
1. Strong knowledge of communications and marketing best practices, strategies, and tactics, including digital and traditional channels.
2. Proficiency in content management systems, social media platforms, email marketing software, Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and other software applications, including Constant Contact, Google Analytics, Reputation.com, and Canva.
3. Proficiency in or aptitude to learn web design, video, and other multi-media programs.
4. Proficiency in producing press releases and other media packages.
5. Knowledge of desktop publishing, web publishing, design, layout, and content creation.
6. Ability to create, deliver, edit, and optimize marketing and communications materials.
7. Ability to coordinate social media platform messages/utilization/measurement to include but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Word Press, Pinterest, Google+, Linked In, Flickr, and SEO.
8. Excellent verbal communication with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, including staff, volunteers, donors, and external partners.
9. Excellent written skills, which requires impeccable attention to detail. Ability to create compelling narratives, engage diverse audiences, and present complex information in a clear and concise manner. Messages must be ethical and accurate, containing relevant information gleaned from credible sources in compliance with HIPAA and the Foundations’ privacy and confidential information policies.
10. Strong organizational and time-management skills is crucial.
11. Strong analytical, technical, and project management skills, with the ability to simultaneously prioritize and manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
12. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with people at all levels of the organization, build relationships, and work effectively in a team environment.
13. Must be able self-motivated, flexible, and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
14. Ability to think creatively, troubleshoot issues, and find solutions under pressure.
Work Experience
Three years of supervisory/management experience is required. Strong experience in communications, marketing, or public relations, preferably within a nonprofit organization or community-based setting. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is required.
License/Registration/Certification

Education and Training
Bachelor degree in Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field is required.
