Our Challenge:

As a Java Backend Developer, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to work on complex technical requirements. You will be responsible for managing multiple engagements, prioritize and resolve complex problems and escalate as necessary, in a fast-paced environment.


The Role

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain secure and efficient backend systems and APIs using Java and the Spring Framework with a strong focus on Spring Security.
  2. Implement and configure Spring Security to handle authentication, authorization, and other security-related aspects of web applications and APIs.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services with front-end components and ensure secure communication between different parts of the application.
  4. Implement security best practices and measures to protect sensitive data, prevent security vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  5. Contribute to the overall architecture, design, and performance optimization of backend systems, with a specific emphasis on security and data protection.
  6. Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure the security and reliability of backend components.
  7. Stay updated on emerging security threats, best practices, and industry trends related to Java, Spring Security, and backend development.


Requirements:

You are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Java Backend Developer with a strong emphasis on backend development using the Spring Framework, particularly Spring Security.
  • Extensive proficiency in Java for backend development, including web APIs, microservices, and security-related aspects.
  • Strong understanding of Spring Security, including user authentication, authorization, session management, and secure communication protocols.
  • Experience with secure coding practices, security audits, and vulnerability assessments to ensure the robustness and resilience of backend systems.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.


It would be great if you also had:

  • Knowledge of other Spring modules such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data for comprehensive backend development.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, and DevOps practices for deployment and maintenance of backend applications.
