Culinary Experience Leader

Position Overview:

As a Culinary Experience Leader within our contract food service organization, you will play a pivotal role in creating memorable dining experiences for our clients and guests. You will lead culinary initiatives, oversee kitchen operations, to the extent of how to improve them, and ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and innovation. Culinary degree preferred.

In addition to culinary leadership, we are seeking individuals with expertise in healthcare, senior living, and lifestyle community living to ensure a well-rounded and comprehensive approach to our culinary operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Culinary Innovation: Lead the development of creative and innovative menu concepts that align with client preferences, dietary needs, and industry trends.
  2. Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team to create diverse and appealing menus for various occasions, ensuring a balance of flavors, textures, and nutritional value.
  3. Quality Assurance: Maintain strict standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation through regular inspections, training sessions, and recipe refinement.
  4. Operational Excellence: Oversee kitchen operations to ensure efficient workflows, proper food handling procedures, and safety and sanitation standards adherence.
  5. Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients through effective communication, collaboration, and responsiveness to their feedback and preferences.
  6. Team Leadership: Inspire and mentor culinary staff to foster a culture of creativity, excellence, and teamwork.
  7. Training and Development: Conduct training sessions to enhance culinary skills, introduce new techniques, and reinforce company standards and best practices.
  8. Cost Management: Monitor food costs, portion control, and inventory levels to optimize profitability while maintaining quality and guest satisfaction.
  9. Sustainability Initiatives: Implement sustainable practices in food sourcing, preparation, and waste management to minimize environmental impact and support corporate responsibility goals.
  10. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, menu enhancement, and service innovation to elevate the overall dining experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in culinary leadership roles within contract food service, hospitality, or upscale dining establishments.
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for creativity, flavor development, and trend awareness.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Commitment to quality, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Lives in or can commute to the greater Boston area or willing to relocate.
