ABOUT THE ROLE:


The Procurement Category Manager is tasked with developing and executing strategic sourcing categories (including Board, labels, gift boxes, and other dry goods) in collaboration with stakeholders. This role involves managing supplier relationships, conducting performance reviews, implementing cost-saving projects, and ensuring quality and portfolio maintenance. Additionally, the manager aligns sourcing strategies with the regional team, promotes a culture of excellence, and supports the procurement team.


Hybrid- 2 days onsite (Tu & W)


RESONSIBILITIES:


Business Partnership:

  • Collaborates with regional stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and gain approval for strategic sourcing recommendations.

Sourcing Strategy Execution:

  • Implements procurement strategies for local categories aligned with business objectives.
  • Secures cost-saving opportunities and engages suppliers through efficient RFP processes.

Market Analysis:

  • Supports analysis of market trends and risks affecting the supply chain.

Risk Management:

  • Develops strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and implements contingency plans.

Contract and Price Negotiation:

  • Negotiates supplier contracts for favorable terms and conditions.
  • Secures competitive pricing based on market conditions and volume.

Cost Management:

  • Analyzes total cost of ownership and identifies cost reduction opportunities.

Supplier Relationship Management and Performance Tracking:

  • Manages long-term relationships with key suppliers.
  • Conducts regular performance reviews and tracks supplier metrics.

Project Execution (NPD / Sustainability):

  • Executes projects for cost improvement and portfolio maintenance.
  • Supports TWE Sustainability goals within procurement.

Quality Management:

  • Manages quality incidents and handles claim processes with suppliers.

Compliance Management:

  • Ensures compliance with procurement policies and maintains audit records.

Responsible Sourcing and Supplier Diversity:

  • Promotes diversity in the supplier base and incorporates sustainable sourcing practices.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in diverse supply procurement.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher education.
  • Preferably certified by ISM/CAPS.
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, operations management, and leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capacity to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is advantageous.
  • Proactive approach with a strong bias towards action.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities for both self and team to achieve TAM goals.
  • Proficient in influencing multiple stakeholders to prioritize actions effectively.
