Job Description:

The Inventory/Supply Chain Analyst plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing inventory levels within the food manufacturing environment. They are responsible for overseeing various aspects of inventory management, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

Unadjusted Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and maintain records of unadjusted inventory levels.
  • Regularly reconcile physical inventory counts with system records.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies identified during the reconciliation process.

Receipt Processing:

  • Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products at the factory.
  • Enter receipt information accurately into the SAP system.
  • Investigate any discrepancies between received quantities and purchase orders, invoices, or packing slips.

Quality Control:

  • Identify and report any issues with the quality or condition of incoming products.
  • Communicate with suppliers or manufacturers to address quality concerns promptly.

Inbound and Outbound Logistics:

  • Monitor and track the movement of inventory into and out of the facility.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and recording of inbound and outbound shipments.

Weekly Inventory Management:

  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts on a weekly basis.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.

Chargeback Processing:

  • Review and validate chargeback claims related to inventory issues.
  • Investigate the root causes of chargebacks and implement corrective actions.


Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory management within a food manufacturing or similar industry.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP) and proficiency in data entry and analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
