Client is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer to lead the modernization, maintenance, and optimization of our AWS infrastructure. This role involves auditing AWS workloads, right-sizing resources across compute and data services, terminating unused instances, and implementing modern strategies to maximize efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS services, automating provisioning processes, troubleshooting complex issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure minimal impact on ongoing services while optimizing costs.

Key Responsibilities:

Optimize AWS resource usage to save costs, including terminating unused instances (EBS volumes, RDS, ElastiCache, DynamoDB) and right-sizing resources (S3, ECS, etc.

Lead initiatives to modernize database infrastructure using AWS RDS, DB services, and Graviton processors.

Develop and communicate feasible resource re-provisioning plans with impacted teams.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of the cost-saving processes.

Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and minimal service disruption.

Implement automation strategies for infrastructure provisioning and management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

7 to 10 years of Hands-on experience with AWS technologies such as S3, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS, ElastiCache, etc.

Practical experience with AWS Cost Analytics.

Experience in automating infrastructure using CloudFormation (CF), Terraform, or similar tools.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced AWS development skills.

More than 10 years of hands-on experience with AWS technologies.

Proven ability to propose and implement innovative solutions to scale resources up/down without impacting running services.

Experience in large-scale infrastructure modernization projects.

AWS Certified Developer or DevOps Engineer.
