Specialty Manufacturer has an opening for an Inventory Specialist with 2+ years of experience in inventory control in a warehouse facility, supporting spare parts flow to meet internal and external client needs.

You should be familiar with verifying delivery documents, quality control on deliveries to ensure quality parts are on hand and verifying the delivery amounts match the invoice. The ideal candidate has experience in an ERP such as Oracle or SAP or similar software.

This is a long-term contract position and is fully onsite.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated Inventory/Logistics Assistant for a long term contract for our warehouse facility. This individual will play a pivotal role in managing inventory, streamlining logistics, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods both in and out of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a knack for problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of the intricacies of supply chain management. This is a contract position that requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage inventory, ensuring accurate records and optimal stock levels at all times.
2. Coordinate and streamline logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, and delivery returns.
3. Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
4. Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials.
5. Collaborate with the sales and production departments to align inventory levels with demand forecasts.
6. Conduct regular audits of warehouse inventory and report discrepancies to management.
7. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in inventory management and logistics operations.
8. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all inventory and logistics activities.
9. Assist in the preparation of reports on inventory levels, supply chain efficiency, and other relevant metrics.
10. Troubleshoot any issues related to inventory or logistics, taking prompt corrective action as needed.

Qualifications:

1.. Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management or logistics in the manufacturing industry.
2.. Proven experience handling delivery returns.
3.. Strong understanding of inventory management systems and logistics software.
4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
5. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
7. Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to inventory and logistics management.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for managing inventory records and generating reports.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a high level of initiative and flexibility.
10. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
