Interior Design Project Manager | High-end Residential

As the Interior Design Project Manager, you are a vital component of the collaborative team project managing, leading construction scheduling, pricing furniture, working with vendors, and making design presentations for projects. Allow your passion for design to shine as you project manage and support in producing high-end residential design projects with the team. Leverage your design and project management expertise to deliver exceptional client experience and design.


Responsibilities

  • Support and on specific projects lead the project team on conceptual designs, presentations, design development and production
  • Preparing and making design presentations both for e-presentations and in person. Graphic design experience is helpful as most presentations are electronic.
  • Direct correspondence with vendors and working with vendors to maintain construction scheduling, logistics, etc.
  • Prepare specifications and schedules with accurate product information for all furniture, plumbing, appliances, lighting, and finishes.
  • Developing, managing, and recording technical aspects of projects and leading the correspondence with contractors and vendors
  • Pricing selections and furniture for projects
  • Assuming responsibility for project deliverables and installation
  • Meeting overall project design schedules
  • Supporting and educating other members of the design team
  • Develop design drawings (CAD), millwork drawings, floor plans and elevations. Ability to create a full set of interior drawings if needed.
  • Ability to travel to project site meetings and installations (Primarily domestic but some international)


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in interior design is preferred.
  • 4-6 years of professional experience in the architecture and interior design industry, focusing on high-end residential design
  • Strong abilities in AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT; Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
  • Experience with Interior Design Business Software like Studio Designer (or similar)
  • Experience with purchasing and budgets.
  • Experience selecting and specifying lighting, furnishings, hardware, floor/window coverings, materials, and finishes.
  • Ability to create a set of construction drawings, specifications, and schedule
  • Ability to create and manage Excel spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of and/or ability to learn timekeeping and billing software
  • Ability to interact effectively with the design team on multiple projects and exhibit leadership qualities at all times for team members.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including space planning and drawing
  • Knowledge of trade resources and vendors
